When a client arrives with an open mind as to what they want and is willing to explore downtown for a bit, it makes for a fun session and some great images. This session was made even more fun because Grace is so natural and beautiful in front of the camera. She is a great example of What to Wear for a session. I knew that she and I would get along the first time we talked. This pregnant mama had me laughing….hard.
The day before our session was scheduled with were chatting to confirm and she mentioned she was supposed to be taking it easy. I suggested that switch our plan from her coming to me in Little Rock to me coming to their home in Lonoke. I am so glad that I had the chance to see where they live! Living in the home that was his grandparents, with a pecan orchard out front and their fish farming operation in back there were all sorts beautiful spots as the afternoon sun came through the trees. It also made it easier to include the furry members of the family. They are quite the pair as Sam and his mini-me explored the yard and grudgingly participated in the pictures. You know what makes for a really fun photo session? A client with a background in theater! They usually come with lots of personality and don’t mind the attention being on them. This session was fun for that reason and more. We got to try different ideas, outfits and I loved capturing some genuine smiles. I love working on white walls, some of my favorite sessions have them as their backdrop.
